Announcement

On the occasion of the National Memory Day, marking the 80th anniversary of the 8 May 1945 massacres, the Consulate General of Algeria in London is organizing a cultural and artistic competition for children of the Algerian community residing in the United Kingdom, targeting age groups from 8 to 14 years old.

Competition Categories:

- Drawing

- Writing a short text or essay

- Composing a poem

Competition Theme:

All entries must revolve around the historical remembrance of 8 May 1945, highlighting themes of sacrifice, struggle, patriotism, and attachment to Algerian identity.

Entries should be sent or delivered directly to the following address:

Wednesday, 7 May 2025

Important Notes:

All submissions must be original and created by the child.

Each entry must be accompanied by an information card including: the participant’s full name, date of birth, home address, and the parent or guardian’s phone number.

Prizes will be awarded to the winners.
