The Mayor of Brent hosting the Consul
As part of her consular activities, Mrs. KENZA BENALI, Consul of Algeria to the United Kingdom was received on the august 2nd 2018 by M.Arshad Mahmood, Mayor of Brent.
This visit comes after the election of Mr Arshad as Mayor in the last local election held in May 2018.
Located in the north-west of London, a few yards from the new consular premises, and adjacent to Kilburn, Willesden, Harlesden and Kirklwood boroughs, Brent Council was founded in the 1965 following the meltdown of Wembley and Willesden districts. It's a home to mixtureof residential, commercial and industrial buildings and has over 300.000 inhabitants among which many of our compatriots are established in Kilburn and Harlesden.
During this meeting, Mrs the Consul and the Mayor have discussed the situation of the Algerian Community established in London. It was also an opportunity to talk about the efforts of the British government dedicated towards them and to consolidate the relations between our compatriots and the host country.
