ultural Forum Djawhar dz, London on the 5th May 2018

The Tower Hotel London hosted on the 5^th of May 2018 the cultural forum "Djawhar DZ" which was organized by the Algerian charitable association “Quintessence DZ”. This latter endeavours to promote the Algerian art and culture among the members of the Algerian community in the United Kingdom.

This forum, the first of its kind, was organized under the theme of "solidarity with the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire"of last June, which caused the death of more than eithy (80) persons. Some of the survivors of that tragedy were invited to this forum including two Algerian families.

The success of this event is attributed to the efforts made by the Algerian Consulate and the sponsorship of the National Company Sonatrach. It was an excellent opportunity to introduce the diversity and the richness of the Algerian culture in London through a great concert in which a group of famous Algerian artists has participated in it, including: Abdelkader Chaou, Nadia BAROUD and Amazigh KATEB who performed with excellence songs which combined international and traditional African genres (Gnawa and Reggae), which earned the plaudits of the audience.
This event was also marked by the presence of the famous singer and composer Mr. Kamel HAMADI as guest of honour. He has been honoured on this occasion. 

On the margins of this event, photography and comic books exhibition has been organized, allowing the Londoners to discover various aspects of the Algerian culture.See the video of this event
