February 18 of each year marks an important milestone in our glorious revolution and serves as an annual occasion for Algeria to commemorate National Martyr’s Day, in remembrance of the heroism of our noble martyrs
In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic and the directives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, the Consulate General of Algeria in London informs all members of our community residing in its consular district and holding valid foreign passports, that they can, exceptionally, until December 31st, 2025, enter and exit the national territory without a visa, according to the following conditions:
- Presentation of valid foreign passport along with the Algerian biometric national identity card, even if expired;
- For our citizens who do not possess the Algerian biometric national identity card, presentation of a valid foreign passport along with the expired Algerian biometric passport.
Children under 15 years, travelling with their parents or legal tutors, can also enter the Algerian territory provided the presentation of a family book, a family record (fiche familiale) or a birth certificate or any document attesting the legal status of tutor (such as Kafala or a court Judgement granting the tutor status…)
In the case of the identity mentioned in the foreign passport and the Algerian documents are in discordance, it is recommended to have an individuality attestation in case of spelling minor errors. A court order when the difference is substantial, such as a total different name.
The persons taking benefits of these exceptional measures should provide, while travelling from Algeria, the same documents presented in the entry.

تقديم جواز سفر بريطاني ساري الصلاحية على أن يكون مرفوقاً ببطاقة التعريف الوطنية البيوميترية حتى وإن كانت مُنتهية الصلاحية
تقديم جواز سفر بريطاني ساري الصلاحية على أن يكون مرفوقاً بجواز سفر جزائري بيوميتري حتى وإن كان مُنتهي الصلاحية
كما يُمكن للأطفال دون سن الخامسة عشر (15)، المسافرين مع أوليائهم، الدخول إلى الجزائر شريطة تقديم جواز سفر بريطاني مرفوقاً بالدفتر العائلي أو البطاقة العائلية أو شهادة الميلاد. وفي حالة الوصي الشرعي، تقديم وثيقة الكفالة أو حكم قضائي بذلك
وفي حالة كون الـهُوية الـمُبيّنة في جواز السفر البريطاني غير مطابقة لتلك الـمُبيّنة في وثائق الحالة المدنية الجزائرية، يُرجى حمل شهادة إثبات الهوية في حالة أخطاء إملائية صغيرة، أو حكم قضائي في حالة اختلاف جوهري، مثل كون الاسم مختلف تماماً

Organizing a mobile consulate to Glasgow
The Consulate General of Algeria in London informs Algerian citizens residing in Scotland that it will organize a mobile consulate to provide consular services in the city of Glasgow, on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from nine (09) am to six pm, at a location to be determined.
During this day, many consular services will be provided at the same location as follows:
We invite citizens who wish to renew their biometric passport, or who are requesting it for the first time, to send us a complete file in advance, by mail no later than November 18, 2024, consisting of:
- The application form, filled out and signed by the person concerned or the legal guardian for minor children, can be downloaded from the Consulate General’s website www.algerian-consulate.org.uk
- Consular registration card.
- Proof of residence and nationality.
- Expired passport.
Passport fees are paid in cash or by money order.
For adults:
Ordinary passport, 28 pages, £55
Ordinary passport, 48 pages, £82.50
For minors:
Ordinary passport 28 pages, £27.50
Ordinary passport 48 pages, £55
Paying an additional tax in the event of a passport being lost or destroyed:
For adults: £100
For minors: £50
On this occasion, all questions related to consular services can also be answered.
Important notes:
- Minor citizens aged 12 years and above must be physically present to issue or renew a biometric passport.
- A minor child (under 12 years old) is not required to attend, and the application must be submitted by the legal guardian. In this case, the photos submitted must comply with ICAO standards.
- Appointments will be set for citizens who have applied for a passport to register fingerprints, take biometric photos, and electronic signatures, which must be adhered to.
- The fingerprinting and photo-taking procedure cannot be carried out if the application has not been previously sent to the Consulate General.

- Recover the passport and/or biometric national card, mentioning the file number that appears on the deposit receipt.
- Consular registration.
- Census, deferment, or exemption from national service.
- Registration in civil status records.
- Authentication of documents, issuance of agencies (must present a valid Algerian passport or national ID card), and parental authorization to travel.
